Who is he?
Daniel Dyzma Kozakiewicz was born in 1970 in Poland. He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at the University of Warsaw. He devoted his entire life to art, in many of its fields. As a child, he appeared in many films, television series, and theater. Although this brought him fame and achieved great success, he got involved in journalism, working for radio stations and magazines, writing, conducting interviews and taking photos after graduation. He began working with advertising agencies, organizing events and promotional campaigns. After a few years, however, he returned to his passion, photography, and began his artistic path. His photographic collages quickly gained great interest, which resulted in traveling around the world.
Far away
In 2000, he traveled to Latin America at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to present his retrospective exhibition "Journey with the Demon" in Mexico, Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. During the year-long journey with the exhibition across the continent, he was enchanted by the culture and nature and decided to stay longer. This adventure lasted a decade.
At that time he lived in Lima, where he opened his studio, taught photography at the University, organized exhibitions, and created new artistic projects. He joined the Keto theater group, where he returned to work as an actor, performing in stand-up shows, improvisations, and commercials. For a few years, he worked for an exclusive publishing house as a photographer. He portrayed famous public figures, and his works were often featured on the covers.
He also collaborated with many well-known brands and created advertising and graphic design assignments. He also founded his own publishing house, where he published books and magazines. He also founded his own photography gallery.
Back home
In 2011 he returned to Poland. He founded the artistic group "Ulica Piękna" (Beautiful Street), with which he created a short music video. The video „Life til l Death” won several awards at film festivals in Europe and the USA. This is how he ended up in L.A. and Las Vegas, where he became the director of the Polish Short Film Festival for two years.
Golden Legs - since 2015, he is publishing an annual calendar featuring 12 exceptional women, each time in a different style and photographic technique, where the main theme is beautiful legs. Daniel Kozakiewicz has also directed a full-length feature film „Dream of the cheese sandwich”. He was the founder of the independent art gallery
"Pałac" in Warsaw. He was a student of Keith Johnston and teaches acting and applied improvisation. He has currently moved to Tenerife, where he continues his passion for photography.
Exhibitions
Since 1996 Daniel Kozakiewicz has presented his works at over 60 exhibitions: in his native Poland (23), in Peru, where he spent over 10 years (16), in Bulgaria (4), in the Czech Republic (2), in the UK (2), Lithuania (2), in Uruguay (2), in Sweden, Belarus, Russia, Chile, Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, and the USA. The most important include the world's largest photographic mural, made using the classic collage technique, consisting of over 10,000 portraits of Peruvians, with an area of 70 square meters, made for the "Museo de la Nación" in Lima. As an independent and controversial artist, his works have been exhibited in many museums, cultural institutions, private and public galleries, as well as in clubs, embassies, and even in prison.
